Disciple Pogo Sticks to Record--for Guru

GOTEMBA, Japan —
A New York City health food store manager today claimed a world record for covering 11.1 miles on a pogo stick.
Ahsrita Furman, 31, broke his own record of 10.9 miles set in New York last year. A disciple of guru Sri Chinmoy, a peace movement leader in New York, Furman said he set the record on a road at the foot of Mt. Fuji to “honor my guru and to demonstrate the power of meditation.”
