Culver City : Council to Seek Funds
The City Council voted Monday to re-apply for federal assistance for the Retired Senior Volunteer Program. Culver City will contribute $57,730 in cash contributions and in-kind services to the overall budget of $88,579 authorized by federal government’s ACTION agency.
The program provides community volunteer work for about 330 people in more than 80 different agencies and organizations including city government, the school district, municipal courts and hospitals. It has been in operation in the city for 13 years.
