WARNER BROS. FILMS: COMING SOONER & LATER

W arner Bros. said it couldn’t list seasonal release dates on its films, except for the following breakdown, first for the first half of the year:

“Clan of the Cave Bear”--Daryl Hannah stars. Based on Jean M. Auel’s best-seller set at the dawn of modern man.

“Cobra”--Detective thriller with Sylvester Stallone and Brigitte Nielsen. Directed by George Cosmatos (“Rambo”).

“Police Academy 3: Back in Training”--More comic adventures of the young coppers.

“Ratboy”--Off-the-wall comedy about a female journalist whose career is jeopardized after she discovers an unusual young boy. Sondra Locke directs.

“7 Minutes in Heaven”--Comedy about teens grappling with adolescence--and dealing with friendship, love and identity.

“Wildcats”--Goldie Hawn is a football coach in a Detroit inner-city high school. Michael Ritchie directs.

Warner titles for the second half of the year:

‘Club Paradise”--Harold Ramis-directed comedy about a singles’ resort. With Robin Williams, Rick Moranis, Peter O’Toole.

“Friend”--Wes Craven shocker about a teen-age genius determined to get the girl he loves.

“Greetings From Nantucket”--Comedy in which John Cusack bucks the family tradition, opting for art rather than athletics.

“Heartbreak Ridge”--Clint Eastwood directs/stars as a combat veteran who turns a lousy platoon into a mean machine.

“Little Shop of Horrors”--Based on the Off-Broadway musical (which was based on Roger Corman’s 1960 cult flick) about a botanical genius and his bloodthirsty Venus flytrap. Frank Oz directs Rick Moranis, Steve Martin, Ellen Greene, John Candy.

“A Man and a Woman: 20 Years Later”--A sequel that reunites director Claude Lelouch, man Jean-Louis Trintignant and woman Anouk Aimee.

“The Mission”--Robert De Niro, Jeremy Irons and Aidan Quinn in a historical drama directed by Roland Joffe.

“Nuts”--Mark Rydell directs Barbra Streisand as a woman who takes on the system, after having been judged unstable and imprisoned.

“Over the Top”--Sly Stallone is a trucker determined to become the world arm-wrestling champ. Menahem Golan directs.

“Round Midnight”--About expatriate jazz musicians in Paris, 1950. Stars jazz saxophonist Dexter Gordon. Score by Herbie Hancock.

“Under the Cherry Moon”--Love story set in France with Prince as a piano man. Directed by the Purple One.
