My 8-year-old was amused when I read him Lanny Middings’ letter of Jan. 5 in which he doubted a 6-year-old letter writer’s ability to use the word appropriate (Calendar Letters, Dec. 15).
Kenny interrupted his reading of “Pilgrims Progress” to comment both on the boy’s “appropriate” vocabulary and on Middings’ misuse of less when fewer would have been correct.
