The owners of the Lincoln Hotel, an 88-unit residential complex in central Los Angeles, have been found guilty of health and safety code violations after slum conditions were found at the facility, the Los Angeles city attorney’s office said. Parimal C. Shah, 31, and his wife, Mima, 32, were found guilty by a Municipal Court judge of nine violations that ranged from nonoperable fire doors to plugged toilets and falling plaster. Each violation carries a maximum penalty of six months in jail and a $500 fine.
