2 Men Critical After Hollywood Shooting

Two men were reported in critical condition Sunday after bullets were fired from a passing car into a group of people at a closed gas station in Hollywood.
Los Angeles police said eight to 10 men, including gang members, were standing at Santa Monica Boulevard and Vine Street Saturday night when the shots were fired. Mario Villapando, 19, of San Fernando and Carlos Ramirez, 25, of Los Angeles were both reported in critical condition at Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center.
Police Detective Allan Michelena said witnesses offered little information about the shooting. “Everybody said they were looking down,” he said.
