Jessica Lange, Shepard Have First Child, a Girl

SANTA FE, N.M. — Jessica Lange has given birth to a 7-pound, 4-ounce girl, the first child of the Oscar-winning actress and playwright Sam Shepard.
The baby was born Saturday at St. Vincent Hospital. Lange and Shepard live together near Santa Fe. Lange, 36, has a 4-year-old daughter, Alexandra, by dancer Mikhail Baryshnikov.
