Orange : Suspect Arrested With Help From Police Dog
A police dog helped officers find a stabbing suspect who had hidden in a bush blocks away from the scene of the attack, Police Sgt. Edward Tunstall said Monday.
With the assist from “Trucker,” police arrested Jesus Leon Antuna, 25, of Orange in the Sunday night stabbing of a Tustin man at a Chapman Avenue bar, Tunstall said.
The victim, Antonio Venegas, 19, of Tustin, who was unarmed, was stabbed 15 times about 9:30 p.m., Tunstall said. Venegas was reported in critical but stable condition at Western Medical Center with wounds to his neck, arms and head.
A knife believed to have been used in the attack was found in Antuna’s possession, Tunstall said, adding that Antuna is also under investigation in a stabbing that occurred in the same area two weeks ago.
