Louisiana Tech Beats SDSU Women, 87-43
Nora Lewis scored 19 points and Beanie Lincoln added 13 points and 5 rebounds Monday night to lead No. 4-ranked Louisiana Tech to an easy 87-43 victory over San Diego State in a nonconference women’s college basketball game at Ruston, La.
The Lady Techsters (13-1) jumped out to a 42-25 halftime lead and went on to hand the Aztecs (6-7) their second straight defeat. Freshman center Brooke Meadows led the Aztecs with 11 points while freshman forward Jessica Haynes added 10.
A year ago, in the Mideast Regional, Louisiana Tech routed San Diego State, 94-64, in Monroe, La. The Aztecs now travel to Monroe to face No. 19-ranked Northeast Louisiana (9-2) Wednesday night.
