Michigan Lawmaker Faces Drug-Trafficking Trial

LANSING, Mich. —
The longest-serving member of the Michigan state Senate was ordered Wednesday to stand trial on charges of trafficking in cocaine and marijuana.
Basil Brown, a Democrat from Highland Park, faces a maximum of 20 years in prison and a $25,000 fine if he is convicted.
