Combustion Engineering Awarded $77-Million Power Plant Contract

STAMFORD, Conn. — Combustion Engineering has been awarded a $77-million contract by Reading Co. to build a power plant in Kline Township, Pa., that will burn coal waste to supply steam for a hydroponic greenhouse and provide electricity to Pennsylvania Power & Light.
The plant is to be built for Northeastern Power, a subsidiary of Philadelphia-based Reading.
