Bradley’s New Position on Gun Control Laws

I agree 100% with your editorial (Jan. 7) regarding Mayor Tom Bradley’s position on gun control. Although I’m not a Los Angeles city resident, I admire Bradley’s integrity--enough to have voted for him for governor in 1982. That’s why I’m so alarmed now to see him make such an obvious, blatant repudiation of his personal beliefs for the sake of political expediency--regardless of the issue.
That’s not leadership; it’s just politics, and personally, I’m tired of that sort of thing. If that’s what we can expect from Tom Bradley in the future, perhaps we Democrats should find ourselves a better candidate for governor this time around.
