Authorities Identify Body Found on Beach

A body found Saturday below a bluff in Ocean Beach was identified as that of a man whose car plunged off Sunset Cliffs Boulevard last week, the San Diego County coroner’s office reported.
Lifeguards pulled the body of Johnny Norman Dutra, 41, of San Diego, from the rocks below the 1600 block of Bacon Street about 7 a.m. A car registered to Dutra went off the road Tuesday and landed on the rocks a few blocks south of where the body was found.
The cause of death is under investigation. An autopsy will be performed Monday.
