Carter Starts Africa Tour

KHARTOUM, Sudan — Former President Jimmy Carter arrived today on the first leg of a private tour that will take him on to Tanzania, Zambia and Ghana as a delegate of Green Revolution in Africa, a private organization dedicated to combating famine.
