Group Will Protest Bias in Philadelphia
Anti-racism activists plan a march to City Hall Saturday to protest prejudice in Philadelphia and to call for indictments in recent racial incidents, an organizer said.
The same group, the Philadelphia chapter of the International Committee Against Racism (INCAR) late last year led two protests in the city’s racially troubled southwest area when it was under a state of emergency banning gatherings of more than four people. Sixteen members charged with disturbing the peace and disorderly conduct were acquitted Tuesday.
