Anaheim
Smoke Detectors Offered: Anaheim residents with low incomes who did not previously qualify for free smoke detectors may now be eligible. The city’s Fire Department lowered the criteria because few residents qualified during the first distribution last year. Anaheim has 400 smoke detectors available to residents in the Community Development Block Grant target areas and an additional 125 for citywide distribution. Anaheim firefighters will install the safety devices, which are required by law. For further information, call (714) 999-1818.
