Nu-Med Plans to Build 2 Psychiatric Hospitals
Nu-Med said Monday that it will build two psychiatric hospitals at a cost of $11 million in Wilmington, Del., and Nacogdoches, Tex.
The Encino-based hospital chain said the facilities will open next January. Nu-Med also announced that another 100-bed psychiatric hospital it is building in Burlington County, N.J., will open in July.
The Delaware hospital will have 50 beds and the Texas facility 40. Construction of both will be financed with industrial revenue bonds. Nu-Med already owns and operates three psychiatric hospitals.
