HUNTINGTON GETS $800,000 DONATION

A fund-raising drive for the Huntington Library, Art Collections and Botanical Gardens has received a boost of $800,000 as a gift from the Ahmanson Foundation.
The unrestricted donation will be used to augment Henry E. Huntington’s original endowment for the San Marino institution. With a goal of $13.5 million, the campaign committee already has raised about $6 million. Endowment funds will be used for staff and fellowships, education and exhibition programs and maintenance of buildings and grounds.
