Bethlehem Steel reported a $78-million fourth-quarter loss, raising its 1985 annual losses to $196 million, and Chairman Donald H. Trautlein predicted more red ink for the current three-month period.

“We see little or no improvement in steel market conditions during the first quarter of 1986,” he said.

In the fourth quarter of 1984, Bethlehem posted a $65-million loss, and for the entire year it lost $113 million.
