More than 500 workers were evacuated from a Concord office building for the second time in two weeks when foul air from an unknown source again permeated the structure and caused breathing problems among some occupants. Nearly a dozen were taken to hospitals for checkups. The first evacuation of the Wells Fargo Bank building in downtown Concord was Jan. 17, when 32 people and a firefighter were taken to hospitals after becoming ill.
