Fosdick, Ex-Teachers’ Aide, Dies
Harry Fosdick, longtime spokesman and retired assistant executive secretary of the California Teachers Assn., died Tuesday at his home in San Diego after a long illness, the CTA announced Friday. He was 77.
During his long service with the CTA, from 1948 to 1974, Fosdick was public relations executive, field representative and an executive with the Personnel Standards Commission.
He was also president of the National School Public Relations Assn. and represented the CTA before the Legislature on many occasions.
He leaves his wife, Peg, and two sons. The family suggests that contributions in his name be sent to the American Heart Assn.
