Sen. Gary Hart of Colorado has moved into a strong early lead in the latest Gallup poll for the 1988 Democratic presidential nomination, following Sen. Edward M. Kennedy’s withdrawal from contention. In the latest poll, taken in mid-January, Hart received 47% of Democrats’ combined first- and second-place nomination votes, more than twice as many as runners-up New York Gov. Mario M. Cuomo (22%), businessman Lee A. Iacocca (18%) or the Rev. Jesse Jackson (16%). Next are Sen. Bill Bradley of New Jersey and Los Angeles Mayor Tom Bradley (8% each), and Sen. John D.
