Lichi Scores Win in Santa Anita Feature
Lichi took the lead in the final furlong and won the $34,000 feature race for older fillies and mares at Santa Anita by three-quarters of a length.
Affirming finished second, a neck in front of third-place Wayward Pirate.
Ridden by Eddie Delahoussaye, Lichi was clocked in 1:16.0 for about 6 1/2 furlongs down the Santa Anita hillside turf course.
Sent off the 3-1 third choice, Lichi paid $8.20, $4 and $2.40. Affirming returned $3 and $2.20 and Wayward Pirate paid $2.80 to show.
