Johnny O’Mara will lead a group of 60 riders into the San Diego Supercross, the third stop on the 1986 Supercross Tour, at 8 p.m. Saturday at Jack Murphy Stadium. O’Mara, last year’s San Diego 250cc winner, will be among the favorites.

O’Mara will have to contend with four El Cajon riders in defending his title. Led by 500cc national champion Broc Glover, team El Cajon also includes Rick Johnson, Scott Burnworth and Ron Lechien, the 125cc national champion. There will be competition in the 250cc and 125cc divisions.

The San Diego County Dental Society is presenting the Smile San Diego 10K and two-mile fun run Saturday at 7:30 a.m. at Balboa Park. All proceeds will be used to improve children’s programs in the San Diego County school districts.
