Disabled Fliers

Hats off to World Airlines, United and British Airways; I found Toni Taylor’s Jan. 19 article on disabled fliers to be very informative. In the past, it was virtually impossible for the disabled person to travel in a comfortable way and feel like the other passengers. Because some airlines have begun to appreciate the difficulties that the disabled person faces, traveling will be much more enjoyable.

With these continued improvements the airlines will benefit by having more disabled people travel. The government has made life easier for these people by enforcing handicapped parking, wider bathroom stalls for wheelchairs, and ramps for easier access to public buildings, so why shouldn’t the airlines do the same? Isn’t it about time?
