“Five Stories for the Very Young,” CC Studios. $29.95. CC Studios has a reputation for providing quality, nonviolent entertainment for the small fry, and it’s easy to see why. This is the sort of alternative viewing fare for children that makes parents bless the day they purchased a VCR. The 33-minute tape, aimed primarily at preschoolers, contains five animated films of children’s books. The style is slow and simple, but the stories are wonderfully imaginative and likely to stimulate verbal response. What a welcome relief from all the frantic, action-packed stuff on commercial TV.
