AND WAIT, THERE’S MORE: Queen likes the song the band wrote for the upcoming “Highlander” sound-track album--due out in early April--so much that a spokesman for the group said that the band considers it an official new Queen album. With this in mind, the record cover will give both sides a plug--it features both a large sword (an image from the film) and the Queen logo. The album’s first single, “Princes of the Universe,” is due out in early March, to accompany the movie’s March 7 release. . . . James Brown, coming off his biggest hit in years with “Living in America,” has been signed by Scotti Bros./CBS Records. Dan Hartman will produce the Godfather of Soul’s new album. . . . Oingo Boingo will perform the title song for CBS-TV’s upcoming series “Fast Times at Ridgemont High.” . . . And our Pop Advertisement of the Week Award goes to Elektra Records, for its campaign for the new Public Image Ltd. release. Since the new record is titled “Album” (in its long-playing version) and “Cassette” (in the tape format) the label has taken out full-page displays in industry publications, which simply say “Ad.”
