ROCK INTERPRETER

Share

I must agree with Goldstein when he says that nothing is wrong with the kids today (“I Was a Teen-age Rock Fiend,” by Patrick Goldstein, Feb. 16).

Although I never had the “negative” experience with rock that Goldstein mentioned, there have been times in my life when rock music has picked me up when nothing else could.

Rock ‘n’ roll is just like anything that has to be interpreted by the individual listener or reader--it can be interpreted in many different ways. Ultimately, it comes down to the psyche of the individual. Rock alone, indeed anyone thing in a person’s life, cannot be blamed for unfortunate circumstances that arise.
