Pepperdine Beats USC in Indoor Tennis

Sixth-ranked Pepperdine defeated fourth-ranked USC, 5-4, Saturday to reach the finals of the USTA-ITCA National Indoor Intecollegiate men’s tennis championships at Louisville, Ky.
Pepperdine’s Kelly Jones and Augustine Moreno upset No. 1-ranked Luke Jensen and Jorge Lozano, 6-4, 6-7, 6-4, in the deciding No. 1 doubles match after the Trojans had rallied from a 4-2 deficit with victories in No. 2 and No. 3 doubles. Jones and Moreno are ranked No. 11 in the country.
The victory put the Waves into today’s final against fifth-ranked SMU, which defeated Clemson, 5-3, in the other semifinal match.
