UC Irvine Gets Record, But Not Win

UC Irvine freshman Keri Grelsson jumped a school record 37 feet 7 inches in the triple jump Saturday afternoon during the Anteaters’ meet with USC and Cal Poly Pomona.

Grelsson, from Sweden, broke the school mark by five inches on her first jump of the meet.

USC won the men’s division with 113 points, UCI was second with 49 1/2 and Cal Poly third with 26 1/2. The Trojans won the women’s division with 91 points, the Anteaters were second with 48 and the Bulldogs were third with 26.
