China released economic growth figures.

Economic growth last year more than doubled Chinese government targets, and urban inflation was the highest since the Communist Party took power in 1949, the State Statistical Bureau said. The value of industrial output rose 18% to about $273.7 billion. The state target was 8%. Prices in cities rose by 12.2%, the bureau said in its annual report.
