Triangle Pacific has agreed to be acquired.

The investor group is Beta Partners, a San Francisco partnership headed by Edward L. Scarff, a financier and former president of Transamerica. It will acquire Triangle for $53.50 a share, or a total of $200 million. Triangle Pacific is a leading maker of kitchen and bathroom cabinets and hardwood flooring products. Triangle Pacific said the proposed purchase was approved by its directors during a meeting in New York. The directors judged the offer “fair and in the best interest of shareholders,” the company said.
