Cliff Robinson scored four points of his 24 points in the final 28 seconds of overtime to lift the Washington Bullets to a 113-111 victory over the New York Knicks Thursday night at Landover, Md.
Robinson’s three-point play gave the Bullets a 112-109 lead, but New York’s Louis Orr brought the Knicks close again on a jumper with 25 seconds left. Robinson added a free throw with nine seconds remaining.
The Knicks’ James Bailey made a free throw with no time left in regulation to tie the score, 100-100.
Houston 116, Sacramento 105--Ralph Sampson scored 22 of his 35 points in the second half, and the Rockets snapped a three-game losing streak by turning back the Kings at Houston.
Sampson, ejected from the previous two games, helped the Rockets increase their lead over Denver in the Midwest Division to 1 1/2 games.
