Children Who Kill
What in the world is going on? Five rifles, two shotguns and a pistol all in one room to be played with. I am referring to the recent tragedy where two young boys were playing with firearms and one was fatally shot. Are we becoming a nation of weapon wackos?
Right now in Congress the National Rifle Assn. is trying to get the McClure-Vollmer bill passed, which weakens our already soft gun controls. What we really need is stronger laws to prevent the many tragedies such as this recent one. All rifles, shotguns and handguns should be licensed and registered to qualified people only. They should have to pass a test to show they can use them properly and understand that they must be responsible for safekeeping.
I was taught in the service never to point a firearm at anyone unless you mean business.
