"Legend: The Best of Bob Marley." Island. It doesn't begin to do justice to Marley's artistry and influence to describe him simply as reggae's most captivating and important figure. At his peak, Marley, who died of cancer in 1981, was one of the most commanding and influential artists in all of contemporary pop--a man who exhibited equal grace and authority on songs as poignant as "No Woman No Cry" and as forceful as "Get Up, Stand Up." The CD sound quality is exceptional, making Marley's music seem all the more persuasive.
