SAN DIEGO
A 19-month-old girl was strangled Friday when she became entangled in a drapery cord at a San Diego licensed day care center at 3822 Front St., police reported.
Megan VonKundra, daughter of Tomiken VonKundra of San Diego, was lying on the floor of the residence drinking a bottle when her neck became caught in the cord. The incident has been ruled an accidental death and is being routinely investigated by the San Diego Police Department child abuse unit.
