Services Slated for J.W. Timmons, Longtime Resident of Anaheim

Share

Memorial services will be conducted Wednesday for John (Jack) W. Timmons, 71, a pharmaceutical salesman and longtime Anaheim resident, who died Thursday of an apparent heart attack.

Timmons was known to druggists throughout Orange County through his job with Los Angeles-based J&S; Distributing Co. for more than 30 years, a son, Glenn Timmons, said. The Michigan native also was one of the pioneers in the sportfishing business in Orange and San Diego counties; he helped build some of the first sportfishing boats used for charter.

On Thursday, his ashes will be scattered off the coast of Newport Beach--fulfilling a wish made because of his love for the ocean, Glenn Timmons said.

Last rites will be at 11 a.m. at South Coast Community Church, 5120 Bonita Canyon Drive in Irvine. Timmons is survived by his wife, Helen; sons Randy and Glenn, and three grandchildren.
