The stock market jumped to new record highs today amid hopes for further declines in interest rates.
The Dow Jones average of 30 industrials closed up 32.20 at 1,810.70.
New York Stock Exchange volume was about 161.46 million shares compared with 139.25 million shares Tuesday.
