A radical Palestinian guerrilla faction led by Abu Nidal said Wednesday that it considers U.S. interests worldwide to be targets in the wake of American military action against Libya.

“Our movement, the Fatah Revolutionary Council, proclaims its support for the Libyan revolution and is placing all its resources at its disposal,” the group said in a typed statement delivered to an international news agency in Beirut.

Tripoli radio has urged Arab suicide squads to attack U.S. embassies and other interests it accused of conspiring against Arabs.

A commentary, monitored in London by the British Broadcasting Corp., called for the Arab nation to be transformed “into suicide squads and human bombs, missiles and aircraft to deter and resist terrorism and destroy it for good.”

“Heroes of our Arab nation,” it said, “let your missiles and suicide cells pursue American terrorist embassies and interests wherever they may be.” It warned “all the reactionary regimes of the consequences of silence, evasiveness or trying to prevent the Arab masses from destroying imperialist interests in all those states.”

The Abu Nidal statement said the movement “considers all American interests, wherever they may be, a target for our revolutionaries.”

Abu Nidal, suspected by the United States of masterminding December’s gun and grenade attacks at Rome and Vienna airports, is reported to have been based in Libya, among other places, in recent years.
