Ex-Globetrotter Star to Give Talk

Meadowlark Lemon, former star of the Harlem Globetrotters basketball team, will be featured guest speaker at Easter Sunday services celebrating the Resurrection of Christ at Capistrano Valley Church, 32032 Del Obispo Road, San Juan Capistrano.

Lemon will share his experiences involving his religious life at services at 8, 9:30 and 11 a.m. in the church sanctuary. Free nursery care will be offered during all three services. Additional parking will be available on the church grounds.

A musical production of “The Lamb of Glory,” at 6 p.m. in the church auditorium, will end the round of Easter services.

The Southern California Son (Zen) Center will hold a meditation retreat from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 5 at 2 Hopkins St., Irvine. The First Presbyterian Church of Garden Grove has scheduled a number of activities for Easter Sunday. A sunrise service at 7 a.m. will feature the church’s youth group telling the story of the Crucifixion and Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
