Seales’ Saga: One More Bad Mark for Boxing

It saddened me to read the other day that Sugar Ray Seales, the only U.S. boxer to win a gold medal in the 1972 Olympics, is broke and forced to file for bankruptcy at the age of 32. Half-blind and deserted by everyone, this is just another bad mark for boxing and this country. One more reason to abolish this brutalizing sport.
