The March 9 article “Retirees Fight to Halt Cuts in Health Benefits” exposes just a few of the glaring flaws that prevail in the generally deplorable system of health-care delivery in the United States.
The time has come to jettison Medi-Cal, Medicare as well as the innumerable health insurance schemes and adopt a national health plan that would provide for everyone.
