W. John Swartz has been appointed president of Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway Co., replacing Larry Cena, who is retiring. Swartz was previously named president of Southern Pacific & Santa Fe Railway, the railroad that will be formed pending U.S. approval of the merger of AT&SF; and Southern Pacific Transportation.
