The Rams will give quarterback Steve Bartkowski, 33, a tryout at Rams Park today.
Special attention will be paid to his right knee, which underwent five operations during his 11 seasons with the Atlanta Falcons and led to his being benched and then waived last season.
Dr. Robert Kerlan, the Rams’ chief team physician, examined Bartkowski Tuesday, but neither he nor the Rams would disclose results of the examination.
“I had a very thorough physical examination and a good conversation,” Bartkowski said. “We talked over the old injuries. He took a lot of X-rays. He said that, properly braced, I could go back to war.”
