The residential community has more than 45 acres of common area, including the runway, taxiways, landscaped park area and open spaces.

The Rosamond airport was established shortly after World War II by pioneer woman aviator Florence (Pancho) Barnes, and later became a site for gliders and sailplanes. Flying-time from Los Angeles is about 20 minutes.

Rosamond Skypark is a joint venture of BVS Development Inc. and Woodland American Homes Inc. The sales office is on Rosamond Boulevard just west of California 14 and is open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily and weekends.
