Three thieves stole $100,000 worth of jewelry with such dexterity that store owners did not immediately notice they had been robbed, sheriff’s deputies said. Los Angeles County Deputy Roxanna Schuchman said “evidently well-rehearsed thieves” took 32 rings adorned with sapphires, emeralds, pearls and opals surrounded by diamonds from Fisher’s Antiquarian in West Hollywood. While one couple posed as interested shoppers, a third person reached behind a counter and snatched the tray of rings, Schuchman said. The three had been gone two minutes before the Beverly Boulevard shop employees realized they had been robbed, the deputy said.
