Standard & Poor’s reported that it lowered Fremont General’s subordinated debt rating to BB- from BB+ . . . United Artists said it has obtained an unrestricted, unsecured $200-million credit line from Bank of America . . . Apricot Inc. Vice Presidents William Crouch and Ian Wallace said they purchased the Fremont, Calif., company, the U.S. distribution arm for British-made Apricot personal computers . . . GM said it will close its Westland, Mich., parts distribution center and warehouse at the end of the year . . . Ford said its sales incentive program, which offers 9.9% financing on some models and 7.7% on others, will end next Wednesday.
