Bruins Lead, 10-0, Beat Trojans, 13-10
UCLA jumped out to a 10-0 lead over USC after two innings Friday night but had to hang on for a 13-10 Pacific 10 Southern Division win over the Trojans at USC’s Dedeaux Field.
Bill Haselman, with four RBIs, led the Bruins (24-15 overall, 9-5 in the conference) as they knocked out Trojan pitcher Brad Brink in the second inning. Haselman hit a three-run home run in the seven-run second, while Steve Stowell had a two-run shot in the inning.
USC dropped to 19-18 overall, 8-10 in the conference.
