U.S. agents are investigating a visit to Libya last month by Black Muslim minister Louis Farrakhan, the Chicago Tribune reported today.

They are trying to determine whether the Chicago minister violated President Reagan’s order banning Americans from doing business in Libya, the paper reported, quoting an unidentified Justice Department official.

The Justice Department, CIA and FBI also are investigating Farrakhan’s alleged involvement in the March 15 “anti-imperialist symposium” convened by Libyan leader Moammar Kadafi, the Tribune said. Reagan Administration officials described the meeting as a terrorist strategy session.
