Manning Leads USC to 106-57 Rout of San Jose

Antonio Manning won both sprints and ran a leg on the victorious 400-meter relay team Saturday to lead unbeaten USC to a 106-57 victory over San Jose State in a track and field dual meet at San Jose.

Manning recorded wind-aided times of 10.37 seconds in the 100 meters and 20.90 in the 200 meters as the Trojans won their sixth straight meet of the season.

Kevin Young of UCLA won the 400-meter hurdles in 50.23, and freshman Danny Everett anchored the Bruin 1,600-meter relay team to a 3:04.23 victory in the SMU Invitational at Dallas.

SMU freshman Roy Martin won the 100 meters in 10.16 and the 200 in 20.16. The 200 time is the best in the nation this year.

Ian Morris of SMU won the 400 in 45.32, upsetting Bert Cameron of Jamaica.
